Knowing that their hiring of Frank Haith was a tad controversial amongst fans and boosters, the Mizzou PR department leaped into action and spiced up their formal press release by adding complimentary reviews by some notable figures in college basketball. That list included Texas coach Rick Barnes who worked with Haith at Texas, Duke’s Coach K who played against him in the ACC, Jay Bilas and Fran Frischilla of ESPN.
All had great things to say about the new Mizzou coach.
But apparently not without some massaging of the message by the PR reps. The JSF moles managed to get their paws on the First Draft of these inspiring reactions and, as you can see, some were a shade more honest than we might have believed…
